I just changed my address online and forked over the $1.05 verification fee.

"Forked over"... Lol.  Do you feel jipped?

EDIT: Are you going to do some Bushie-patented little old lady errands anyway?  Can I recommend a trip to the bank to spat with the teller over nothing?  Or maybe the post office for stamps?

Nah, it's only $1.05, it's nothing.  I can't think of any errands I need to run until I go to Walmart in Tulsa on Saturday.

Good.  No need to splurge on busy work just because gas is cheap.  Do you have Target in Oklahoma?  They are a good bit less destructive than Wall Mart.

Eh, I actually prefer Walmart to Target.

Have you had to deal with any of that infamous Tulsa Traffic lately?

Not since the weekend before Christmas.  I know I will, though, when I get back up there this weekend.

One, big nap doesn't count as "none."

Bushie, what did your 95 year old granny cook for the moochers yesterday?

I'm going to play devil's advocate and say I don't think Aunt and Uncle Bushie are mooching as much as it may seem. Their 106 year old mother is living alone and her only options for full-time supervision are Bushie, Mama and Papa. Papa is too busy working night and day to keep Bushie living the high life down in Tulsa. As for Bushie and Mama, well, if Granny were in their care, she'd probably be dead and buried out back next to JJ/Blondie by now.

Maybe "aunt and uncle coming to visit" is the polite euphemism for a regularly scheduled home visit from the Oklahoma Department of Health and Family Services.

Glad to know you were able to find some NBA Basketball games that were worthwhile today even though there were no jobs.

You probably think NBA Basketball is boring.  The league used to be boring until the Oklahoma City Thunder came on the scene along with the world's best player Kevin Durant.

Has watching NBA players running up and down the court ever incited enough excitement out of you that you walked across the room?

If you mean walking back and forth to the fridge, then, why yes!

According their websites, there is a Wally World in his hometown of Choctaw, but no Target. Here in East Memphis, there are two Targets, but no WalMart. I suspect proximity is a concern. I certainly wouldn't drive super to go big box shopping. Also worth pointing out, there was no Thunder game today. He spent all day watching games of teams he doesn't even care about. Just like with college football a couple of months ago.

There is a Target in Midwest City, only 12 miles from my parents'.

Target is 5 1/2 miles from my Tulsa apartment and Walmart is 5 miles.

I don't think I could live anywhere 12 miles from a Target. That's super far just to do my routine household shopping Tongue

The Choctaw Walmart is still 8 1/2 miles from my parents' on its own.

Do you guys do a lot of your shopping on Amazon? They were talking on the radio about how Amazon is trying very hard to expand aggressively in remote places because it's so much more convenient for the people who live there.

We don't do any shopping on Amazon.  We always drive the 8-14 miles depending on where we're going to do all of our shopping.

Amazon is far too complicated for Clan Bushie.  If only they had somebody in the family with some knowledge of 'electronic commerce' to help them.

It's definitely not too complicated, but it's just that we haven't had a need to look into it, yet.
