I am a man on a mission to healthier living.

Don't sing it, bring it.

You have some big shoes to follow of previous forum fats, who truly changed their lives - Patrick, Torie, Mr. Moderate, and Big Daddy TX and others I'm sure.   (If I missed anyone sorry, I did that off the top of my head and you all deserve to be congratulated.)

Go back and read what each wrote........it's very telling, and strikingly similar.

I hear all the doubts that have been posted, but I'm not going to listen to the doubters.  I am a man on a mission to healthier living.  I look forward to getting out and taking a brief walk today after the interview.  It will be a very nice day to do so.

Believe it or not, we've heard this before, too. I've been one of your biggest supporters, Jeff, but you'll be back to daily "cheat meals" and excuses by the weekend.

Oh wait. We're already there.

Someone who needs to lose 15-20 pounds might be able to afford a cheat meal.  Someone who needs to lose 120 pounds can't afford cheat meals, especially when the cheat meals result in constant pig out

Yeah, you can't blame us all for not believing you. We've heard this little song and dance now for years and you're up 25 pounds in that time period to the heaviest you've ever been.

I'm willing to help you on this journey because I have really enjoyed my new diet and feel great even though I am far from overweight, and I believe it can help you too, but you have to have self control and be motivated, both of which you seem to lack.

So I won't be a believer until I see results, and by results I mean concrete ones, not you trying to drive slowly to cheat a walking app or having cheat meals every few days because weekends aren't for dieting.

I don't blame you at all, Duke.  Just know that whether you believe me or not is irrelevant and is not going to affect my resolve.

Remember that episode when Jeff said he was going to go out walking with his pastor (or whoever it was) five times a week? There were going to be NO EXCUSES.

I think that ended up lasting all of a day or two.

Or taking a 5-pound dump and then heralding it as weight-loss success.

I just had a couple bowls of Cheerios.

I still plan on having grilled cheese tonight.

That is indeed an impressive scatological achievement.  I really should read this thread more often.

Stop it.  It has plenty of sugar and carbs.   IT IS NOT A CHEAT MEAL AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH CHEERIOS.

Good grief, guys.  I didn't have anything to eat at the house and I still wanted to eat light.  The diet is not dead.

Will you be going to dinner with Papa and Mama, or eating at Granny's house this weekend?

I'll be eating with Mom and Dad next weekend when I'm at their house for the weekend.  This weekend, I'll be on my own.
