I checked and it appears that Uber is in both OKC and Tulsa. I would think that OKC would be busier, but who knows.

I had a religious Uber driver once, and it was Uber-annoying (see what I did there?). I said something like, "Thank God," and he said, "So, I noticed you mentioned God there ..." Oy!

Wow.  I would literally say "I'm an atheist, spare me" in the nastiest way possible as to not invite their almost assuredly pedestrian pre-programed response to the word "atheist".  Not that I would do that to anyone, but there is something so irritating about a person who would try to parlay an utterance of "oh god" into a diatribe about their religion.

You all might, I repeat might, be proud of me:  My church friend (the one I went bowling with Thanksgiving weekend), knows I am looking for a job, so he sent me a Facebook post for an AT&T call center job fair this Saturday in NW Oklahoma City.  I laughed and moved on back to my CAD searching.  I gave it no consideration whatsoever.  I don't even remember the address except the street it was on.  I thank him for thinking of me, but I am done with call centers.

Wait wait wait.  Oklahoma has whole job fairs SPECIFICALLY for call centers?  I can't even...

Bushie, is your very successful and financially independent brother flying in to Okie to fart around with company for days on end at Mommy and Daddy's house?  Oh wait... Of course he's not, because he's rude and doesn't care if he disappoints all of you.

Idiot...

Really?  Because I believe you are a grown ass man who needs to get out there and be independent, your own words, but while unemployed all is going to be put on hold because you have to spend a week and a half having family dinners because it would be rude not to.  Is your brother held to the same standard?

Where will The Clan Bushie be dining this gorgeous Friday in America?  I trust it won't be some icky independent restaurant, what with all the lack of quality control and disinterested, overworked employees.  No, I think the sincere Mexican atmosphere and authentic cuisine of On The Border is in order for our connoisseurs of fine dining.

Hey, folks, we're back from dinner.  We went to Ted's Café and Escondido for supper tonight.  It was decent, but it wasn't the best.

Oh OF COURSE a nice, quaint little family joint "wasn't the best".  Stick to soulless corporate crap in the future, my friend.

Good morning, folks.  On today's agenda is a haircut and packing up my room at Grandma's.  I will be staying at Mom and Dad's for a week starting tonight.

Do you think you can ask the barber to chop that mustache off and move you up several rungs of society?

I'm going to make a mostly serious suggestion that will probably be dismissed by most.

Why doesn't Our Dear Friend take a trip to Europe? Look at it this way: he's clearly not interested in making fiscally responsible decisions. If he's going to blow his money, why not encourage him to splurge on something that might open his eyes a little bit? Now I obviously don't want him coming back as "Euro Socialism SYRIZAOklahoma" but even someone as stubborn as him would have be conscious of the different ways of life after his journey. He might even pick up a healthy habit or two!

I know the odds of him taking this up are less than 5% (especially when you consider that his brother has been to Europe and considers real pizza to be disgusting when it doesn't have eight slabs of bacon per slice) but it's an interesting idea.

I can't imagine such an idea making it past his church friends, much less Ma and Pa's game plans.

He could bill it as a trip to holy sites. Now I know the first thought will be "But...those are Cat-o-lick places, Jeffie!" I still think there's a way to work it.

Well, he could just say he is converting Cat-licks!  And considering the direction any convo between a Catholic and ODF would inevitably go, is he even lying?

If Bushie actually had the ambition to take a solo backpacking trip across Europe, he wouldn't need to do it because he wouldn't be Bushie and there would be no problem.  It's the same as the ideas that Bushie should start experimenting with drugs or join an recreational adult sports team.

Bushie is a man with ambitions of one day living in Jacksonville, Florida. Any attempt to get him to embrace life is barking up the wrong tree.

One day, I'm gonna get out of this dead end town and make it all the way to JACKSONVILLE!  YOULL SEE!!!

That's sort of the paradox of Update, isn't it? This is a guy who spends his free time napping, watching the most boring/pointless football/baseball games (that he himself likely has no emotional investment in either), eating the most boring food, and going to church, yet here we are, glued to his life story for the past five and a half years.

This is the US Election Atlas.  Bushie IS America.  There is good reason.

Not only am I looking in Tulsa and my best friend is looking in OKC, but apparently, my church family in Tulsa is looking on my behalf.

You have a best friend?  Then why so much family time and no bro-downs?

I know I can do it online, but I don't like wasting a dollar just to verify my address.  I don't know why I don't like spending that dollar when I have no problem spending money most anywhere else, but I guess it's a strange quirk.

I guess it's not the dollar that I mind, it's just having to get up, get the credit card out of my wallet, inputting the information into the appropriate fields, then putting the credit card back up.  It's still totally illogical because the other alternative is getting up, putting my shoes on, grabbing the keys, getting in the car, driving to the post office, going inside, filling out a change of address form, getting back in the car, driving back home, etc.

Flagged for trolling

I just changed my address online and forked over the $1.05 verification fee.

"Forked over"... Lol.  Do you feel jipped?

EDIT: Are you going to do some Bushie-patented little old lady errands anyway?  Can I recommend a trip to the bank to spat with the teller over nothing?  Or maybe the post office for stamps?

Nah, it's only $1.05, it's nothing.  I can't think of any errands I need to run until I go to Walmart in Tulsa on Saturday.

Good.  No need to splurge on busy work just because gas is cheap.  Do you have Target in Oklahoma?  They are a good bit less destructive than Wall Mart.

Wow... that's what people feed their children?!

I hope Child Services is watching it like a hawk.

I'm more worried about their future reading and writing skills.  Dear god what a horror...!

I'm betting he stopped at the McDonalds on the OK turnpike.......Bushie?

Why waste time at McDonald's when you can wait another hour and a half, get all the way home, and treat yourself to Braum's?  I haven't gotten the Braum's, yet, but I am home and will be going right after the 1100 news to pay my February rent and get some lunch.

Is Braum's featuring any seasonal specials, Bushie?  We can only hope they've dropped that 4-cheesed monstrosity in favor of faux-Caribbean/Hawaiian nonsense to get the minds off the cold.

No seasonal specials that I know of, although I get the same thing every time I go there.  I never try any of their specials.

Bacon cheeseburger and fries, then?  Are there any Braum's where you are a regular?  Kind of like a regular at the local watering hole, but with beef and Christians instead of beer and mistakes.

Bushie really needs to go back to Central North Oklahoma State University and demand his ecommerce degree money back.

Does South Central Northwest Oklahoma University Of Phoenix Technical School offer refunds?  Or maybe head back for a Masters in CAD(D)?

Perhaps NWOSU teaches its student about eCommerce the same way Bob Jones University teaches its students about evolution.

Bushie what did you originally want to major in before you got sucked into e-commerce?

As a child, I wanted to major in meteorology at the University of Oklahoma.  Unfortunately, though, I did not have the proper ACT score to get into OU, so I had to go to a regional university.

Is there a path for weatherheads outside of getting onto the TV?  Because from what I can tell stations tend to hire hotties with big boobs to do the weather these days.  (Yes I'm aware you also have big boobs but you need to work on your figure)
