Wouldn't Lyft be more appropriate for BushOK? You know, because of the mustaches.

Wouldn't Uber-ing give him an excuse (in his mind) to buy a new car? Might want to proceed with caution.

I'm going to make a mostly serious suggestion that will probably be dismissed by most.

Why doesn't Our Dear Friend take a trip to Europe? Look at it this way: he's clearly not interested in making fiscally responsible decisions. If he's going to blow his money, why not encourage him to splurge on something that might open his eyes a little bit? Now I obviously don't want him coming back as "Euro Socialism SYRIZAOklahoma" but even someone as stubborn as him would have be conscious of the different ways of life after his journey. He might even pick up a healthy habit or two!

I know the odds of him taking this up are less than 5% (especially when you consider that his brother has been to Europe and considers real pizza to be disgusting when it doesn't have eight slabs of bacon per slice) but it's an interesting idea.

I can't imagine such an idea making it past his church friends, much less Ma and Pa's game plans.

He could bill it as a trip to holy sites. Now I know the first thought will be "But...those are Cat-o-lick places, Jeffie!" I still think there's a way to work it.

Imagine the amount of walking Our Dear Friend could accomplish during a trip to some major European city! And it wouldn't even seem like "grueling" walking since he'd be so caught up in sightseeing!

I honestly lose weight while over there based on the amount of moving around I do. This could be the diet he needs.

That must be quite a sturdy couch. My ~200 pound brother used to sleep on the couch and caused huge dents in it.

The couch is several years old and hasn't shown any signs of stress due to weight.

Sounds an awful lot like yourself.

Here's a paradox:  on the Tulsa's CBS affiliate Noon news, they just had a Weight Watchers healthy cooking segment sponsored by... Get ready... Braum's...  That doesn't make sense!  I know Braum's real well and I would never use it and Weight Watchers in the same sentence other than "You need WW after eating Braum's."

You know what you don't know well? The meaning of the word paradox.

Have you had to deal with any of that infamous Tulsa Traffic lately?

One, big nap doesn't count as "none."

Is zero a better term?  I seriously didn't take any naps today.

...you're not getting the joke here, pal.

Why are people irritated with Our Dear Friend because he doesn't use Amazon? He's getting exercise by going to Walmart!

Thinking of the excitement of Tulsa would keep plenty of us awake. Don't be embarrassed!

As for not being able to shut your mind off for long enough...well...I'm going to let that one hang out here...

What aspect of Tulsa did you keep thinking about?  The healthy meals you'll be able to cook for yourself once you escape from the family dinners?

Probably the traffic, too.

Oh, that's right. He lived in Utah for awhile.

I remember way, way back when Our Dear Friend was deciding on where to live between Oklahoma and Montgomery county, PA! Oh, how fun the latter would have been...

I am a Page 25-er.

Someone please make a bumpersticker or t-shirt or something about that.

Would anyone else be interested in these Euro oval stickers? A subtle nod to Update...

I love the references to Our Dear Friend's 535 pound weigh in. It reminds me of Santorum's 29 point loss in 2006.

Why won't you vote for Inhofe? Not socially conservative enough?

Ok, so he's obviously consistently disgusting by using Ragu but I'm obviously not surprised. That said, you can absolutely have meat in gravy (what many of us Italian Americans in these parts call "sauce"). That said, I can only imagine what kind of meat this man puts in...

What I gathered from the last post on the last page: he isn't in the mood for spaghetti because he has the chills. Instead, he'll have crackers and cheese.

Yep.

It appears ODF is well on his journey. RIP.

Someone did warn him on his Facebook that he could have the flu, "which is deadly."

I got rid of several people from here on Facebook so they wouldn't bring ANYTHING from Facebook over to the forum.  So, why did you just do that?

RIP Phil, soon to be purged like the rest of us. Cry

Yes, that comment definitely sounded vaguely threatening. A second wave of purges may be on the horizon.

I'm not threatening anybody with anything.  I just want the copy and paste from my Facebook to stop.  They don't do that to anybody else so why would they do it to me?

Whoa, whoa, Dear Friend! What the hell did I "copy and paste?" You skating on thin ice, bub!

If God can take away flu symptoms if he wants, then the question becomes, why doesn't He want to take away Bushie's? Has Bushie angered Him? Wait... you guys don't think... oh god no, Bushie have you briefly relaxed lately?!

Maybe He wants to teach me a lesson?  Most of the time, He doesn't take illnesses away on our timing, but His timing is perfect and there is always a reason to the suffering.  Although, I believe God is taking away my symptoms tonight.  I'm not near as miserable as I was about 4-6 hours ago.

Well, if there's anything we've learned, it's that you always learn your lesson!

Well, I didn't copy and paste so if you are going to continue to spread those lies, you won't be happy, Mister! Now go have a glass of water.
