She seems to be one of the biggest rising stars on the right. If you've ever took the time to listen to her speak, she comes across as an amazing candidate, and that's coming from someone who would never vote for her. She comes across as reasonable on the issue of abortion and has the benefit of being a woman candidate. Considering the tendency of parties to nominate more moderate candidates the longer they've been out of the White House, will she ever be the Republican nominee for president?

Nah, she's a pro-choicer. That'd start all sorts of trouble in a presidential primary.

Unfortunately (can't emphasize this enough), I agree.

I'd rather have her in the Senate, we need more Republicans like her and Murko (I would totally have voted for her if I lived in WV).

I'm surprised Capito is pro-choice tbh-makes me wonder what'd have happened if a pro-life Dem like Rahall had and emphasized that issue.

Not much different. The WV trend toward the GOP isn't really because of abortion and the "pro-choice Republican" Capito is probably more pro-life than the "pro-life Democrat" Rahall is.

Or other social/religious issues, for that matter.

Probably the weakening of the once-powerful United Mine Workers Union.

Like Sandoval, being pro-choice makes her a non starter.
