The guy hadn't changed, was deliberately disruptive... kept posting things that WERE inappropriate. Then claimed anti-gay persecution (on THIS site of all places) whenever he was challenged. NOW, people are claiming some vast conspiracy... his obsessive paranoia (a hallmark of his last iteration) seems to be rubbing off.

Personally, I wasn't interested in his re-banning, because I knew he'd f*** up and get thrown out again.

Every time he made a post or a thread, people would jump on him and attack him and accuse him of being an attention whore. He posted a normal picture of himself in the "post a picture of yourself thread" and people attacked him for being a slut. He talked in PG13-terms about being in relationship in one or two posts, and he was attacked for spreading sexually-explicit adult content throughout the entire forum. And then when he had the gall to respond to the bullies following him around the forum, he was attacked again for not shutting up and letting the "ban libertas!" campaign run without interruption.

And yes, it's very sad that even on a forum with as many LGBT members as this one, Libertas was still held to homophobic double standards when it came to discussing his relationships or sexual activity (or even posting a picture of himself).

No opinion.  I wasn't reading the threads he was posting in, so he wasn't bothering me, yet since he was bothering others, rebanning was certainly worth considering, tho I have no idea if I would have and I don't care enough to go look at his posts since he returned to figure out what I would have done if I were Nym.

Also it's insane that it takes a week to re-ban Libertas because the ban brigade tells Nym to, but we have nasty trolls who do nothing but derail threads and spit out personal attacks (like Krazen) lingering on this forum for years on end now.

What are you talking about? Those attacks were valid criticisms of his posts that had been lined with sexual innuendo, graphic situations, one even had a case with a hitler pedophile, all while messaging various people (who certainly did not want to be contacted by him) and him talking about how he likes their body and many had to tell him to stop contacting him.

I just don't get it. Does no one else think his PM's are creepy? I've had two in which he's congratulated me on my physique, mentioned how good he looks in tight pink leggings from H&M and offered to send me verified photos of himself, his partner and a recommendation from his employer. Something still doesn't sit right with me.

A problem is that many people here don't know the underlying situation here. What happened is that Libertas (from what I've seen looking at some of his old posts) never really changed, except for his political views. The whole thing with posts with sexual content probably did it for him, since this is a forum filled with minors, and some forget to remember that Dave had to create a new infraction (excessive hyperbole) because of Libertas.

He didn't get banned for those posts - I believe all happened in the first week back. He almost certainly got banned because other people couldn't let those couple things go, and they keep bringing it up. There was not much graphic stuff in them. People just keep bringing everything up to attack him. Just let it go and the issue (or really non-issue) disappears. Threads just keep popping up while he is contributing in other areas in meaningful ways from making maps to Atlasia. Is he just supposed to let this nonsense go on?

Also, I don't see why you are bringing up the Hitler pedophile like it's some extreme thing. Yea, there is some degree of self-centeredness in it, but he was just answering the question in the thread - albeit very specifically but ultimately in an acceptable manner. That doesn't bother me whatsoever.

Then you have people like Snowstalker harassing the poor boy non-stop for PAPOY non-issues. That was the worst of it where I legitimately feel bad for him.

Like he said, ever since he posted that one story, some of you have refused to give him any break, and continuously attacked him so that he would have to respond, and make it seem like it's Libertas causing the scene. More than his political views changed. He was really nice to everybody, and tried to be as nice as possible to those who went after him. But no. You can't stand any LGBTQA person on here that even talks to another LGBTQA person, whether it's regular conversation, joking around, or expressing our thoughts/feelings on each other. I even found out that Libertas defended me against attacks by Snowstalker, and some of you took Snowstalker's side - The guy who rants on about absolutely nothing for absolutely no reason. I We lost a great friend today. Thanks for ruining it.

I really don't understand the reasoning behind it. Libertas was developing a tendency to overshare with me, as he did with the forum at large, but I really don't think he was doing any harm by it, and I didn't feel threatened or anything. (If other posters did, I'll defer to them.)
