"Populist" is more of a rhetorical style than an actual ideology. I'm sure she'll use of plenty of populist rhetoric during her campaign, just like all politicians do to some extent.

I guess most American politicians are "populist" in that they pay an inordinate amount of attention to focus group-tested  opinion polls.

A very broad term.  If we're talking rhetoric-based only, then yeah, almost every Democratic politician alive is a populist ... Things like "middle class this," "minimum wage, that" is their main vote-getting strategy.  If we're talking her actions, then no, I wouldn't say she stands out as one.  If we're talking her actual attitudes, then most CERTAINLY not.
