JFK by a hair, for coming off as less stubborn and smarter than the others.

I have the same birthday as JFK, so ever since I've known about US history/politics, he's been one of my favorites (for other reasons besides that, too).

Why? Because he had a last name?

No, because what Robert Kennedy stood for in 1968 still has so much relevance today. Look at his speeches, and show me any candidate that has been able to capture both foreign and domestic affairs that well since.

This is a man who could win in KKK counties in Indiana, in farming towns of Nebraska and in inner city Oakland ravaged by poverty. Bobby had appeal in 1968 that was at it's peak for any Kennedy, and I'd say for any democrat until Obama.

If you want to look at policy look at his enforcement of civil rights whilst AG, his record taking on corrupt unions, his commitment to withdraw from vietnam, his urban renewal plans for inner city ghetto's, his commitment to stand up to big business (like JFK did with US steel). Which Presidential candidate has been back to the Mississippi delta to crusade against poverty? Which Presidential candidate has worked to help, and aid native American's in South Dakota?

Look at his oratory. His appeal's for the students of south Africa to send a ripple of hope throughout the world, his condemnation of violence and looting, his plea for humanity following the killing of MLK.

Robert Kennedy understood that America in 1968 was at breaking point. Instead we got Richard Nixon, his deplorable southern strategy, Cambodia and Watergate
