Amazing how far they have fallen. In 2008 John McCain and Sarah Palin were the nominees for the Republican party to lead America. This week Palin's insane speech drove the final nail into her coffin of irrelevance and McCain has endorsed this pandering buffoon who has no chance of getting the nomination.

You must be mistaken. Lindsey is inevitable.

Icespear, go back to your old avatar and presidential endorsement. Acting as if the guy who only got through his senate primary because he was running against a bunch of nobodies and won't win IA/NH in the primary for obvious reasons has even a tiny shot at the nomination isn't funny anymore.

Are you doubting the integrity of my endorsement switch?! How dare you, good sir.

Besides, judging from how big the clown car is getting, Lindsey might be able to win Iowa with something like 5.6%.

At long last, Lindsey has the potential to break the glass ceiling for unmarried Southern Republican men!

I have this awful feeling that Graham is going to surprise all of us and win the nomination and possibly the general election.  Like say there's some terrorist attack and everyone rallies behind Graham.  This greatly concerns me.

I know he's not black, but I think Lindsey Graham is the perfect one to carry the Cain Train torch.

I'm genuinely curious to see where his campaign goes.  He's the first one of any consequence in the race, to my knowledge, so he has time to grab the media to himself for a while.  While I cannot say for sure, I doubt he would ever have my vote, and I stand by my earlier comment that he'll have the success of Duncan Hunter, but I'm still curious to see where his campaign ends up, what ideas he champions, how his presence shapes the rest of the GOP field, and how long it lasts.

OK, maybe this isn't an exploratory committee after all.  The Washington Post says it is, but David Catanese of The Run blog at US News says it's a 527, like the organization that Walker recently set up:

Wow, his campaign's off to an absolutely smashing start. If at his pronouncements, he doesn't even know how to say what his campaign is doing, then I cannot wait to see him on the debate stage (and for more than just his lovely voice)

I think the Republicans would do well nominating this individual. He can hold the South and take Indiana. Great candidate.

Someone's generous...

Actually, I don't think his announcement itself was botched.  Looks like the media reporting on it was confused.

OK, here's the website:

http://securitythroughstrength.com/

Nowhere does it say that it's an exploratory committee.  It says:

So I think it's just a 527 like Walker's organization.  The Washington Post, then, is just misreporting this as an "exploratory committee".  They're confused, because we have so many different flavors of quasi-campaign committees this time around.

Lindsey is a South Carolina Republican. He's in tune with the black community.

Of 1870.

Because when they come up to the Main House from a long day in the fields, he's in his hoop skirt, reclining on the divan and asking Bessie to fetch him a tall glass of water and some smelling salts? I do declare!
