While all of them are reasonable enough, I'm going with the Democrat here.

Nelson became too much of a Moderate Hero after 1968, and Winthrop's career and attitude seem akin to Charles Foster Kane.

Probably Jay.  Winthrop might have been OK, but Nelson was a HP for the Rockefeller Drug Laws.

Gonna go with Winthrop, though I am surprised with a lack of support of Winthrop here considering he was one of the most liberal Governors of Arkansas.

Definitely Jay. Gotta love the statesmen who spend their time governing and doing what they think is noble over those who try to claim the spotlight 100% of the time. Winthrop is also acceptable.
