Dad- Scott Walker
Mom- Jim Webb
Sister 1- Hillary Clinton
Sister 2- Martin O'Malley
Brother- Rand Paul

Your family includes both Webb and O'Malley supporters (in January 2015, one year before Iowa)?  I'm impressed (or appalled?) that we have people here whose family members even know who O'Malley and Webb are.

My family is a family VERY interested in politics. This makes it for some interesting arguments, when we meet up for Christmas (even though we're not Christian), Thanksgiving, or the 4th of July.

My mom is undecided but says she won't vote for Hillary. My dad will probably vote for whoever the dems nominate.

My mom supported Hillary in 2008, so I'd be shocked if she didn't end up voting for her in 2016.

My dad is a conspiracy theorist who doesn't really vote, so for him, the Bilderburgs win no matter what, so hey, what's the point? Tongue

My stepdad is a Republican, but voted for Johnson in 2012 and Barr in 2008. Not because he's a libertarian or anything, but he thought McCain was too liberal and Romney was a Mormon, so he was obviously out. He'll probably vote for Bush.

My stepmother doesn't vote to my knowledge.

Grandparents are Democrats but haven't voted for President since 2004. My grandmother will probably vote for Hillary, my grandfather hates the Clintons and probably won't vote.

My girlfriend and her mother are both #ReadyforHillary, and my girlfriend in particular thinks that I'm going to waste my vote by choosing whomever the Greens run or which socialist is on the ballot in Illinois.

My step-mother-in-law is a US expat. I believe she and my father in law have mentioned not liking Hillary. I'd imagine she'd still vote for her if she was the nominee. (Though, I could see her voting Green). My partner has probably mentioned not liking Hillary in the past, I can't remember. I know we talk US politics often enough for it to have come up.

I think if she runs, we'll all be backing Elizabeth Warren.

My parents are tea party R's, so they want Paul/Cruz/Carson and even Walker. They can't stand Romney and Bush, but would vote for any R over Clinton.

My mother doesn't really care about politics.  My brother voted for Kerry in 04 and Obama in 08 (because of the Iraq war) but he didn't vote in 2012.  He knows more than my mother but not nearly enough.  He doesn't know for example where the political parties stand on gay marriage or in which states it's legal.  I saw him during the holidays and when we had a conversation about gay marriage and marijuana legalization I could tell he was really uncomfortable.  He is quite conservative on some issues but he would never support the Republicans because of the Iraq war.  My family, who I rarely see (other than on Skype) thinks I'm an Obama supporter because I usually defend him.

Anyway, to answer your question, no we've never had that conversation.

Other than my dad, a registered Republican who's now to the left of me, I don't recall anyone else in my family; my dad wants Warren.

My extended family, as I've lamented here before, is rather conservative, so I eschew politics around them if I can.

I'm confused...is he (1) someone who hates Democratic social positions more than he likes Republican economic positions; or (2) someone who assumes that Democrats favor giving everyone a free Cadillac to drive down to the welfare office in?

I don't talk to anyone about these things (normal). I don't know who would be running, even. I guess Hillary Clinton will win but otherwise who cares? I assume everyone I talk to has the same generic liberal opinions as I do.

No, but I can guess pretty easily. My mom will probably support Hillary, and neither my biological dad nor my stepdad will vote. My stepdad is apathetic and my real dad has a lot to say about political subjects but considers actually voting a waste of time. All of my other relatives either don't care or will support a bland Republican like Romney, Kasich, or Jeb, except for my uncle who's a John Birch Society paleoconservative who'll probably support Carson or Cruz.

My mom is a hardcore democrat who was radicalized by the government shutdown in 2013 (DOD employee). She supported Hillary in 2008 and voted for her so I'd expect her to be #ready.

Brother is a liberal who will probably just vote straight ticket democrat.

I asked my girlfriend if she was "ready for Hillary". Her response was a bewildered "I guess so".

Yes, when there once was a newspaper article about it, my mum told me she'd love if Alexander Van Der Bellen would run for President of Austria Tongue

My mum probably votes for the FPÖ candidate (unless it's a really right wing one, she didn't vote for Rosenkranz in 2010). Or the ÖVP candidate.

I'll vote for the Green candidate (most likely Van der Bellen).

I have no clue how my 2 brothers and my sister will vote.

My grandma is voting UKIP, after voting a lifetime of Labour voting. I blame Richard Desmond.

Mom, Dad, Grandma, and I seem to unified on Chris Christie right now.  That could change, but right now we're all unified for the first time since the 2000 election when we were all in Bush's camp.

Of course. I've been the Kasich cheerleader this time. Last time I was the Romney cheerleader until the rise of Santorum, by which the rest of my family had become convinced to vote for Romney.
