What might be the result of a presidential contest between Franklin D. Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan today? FDR is the highest-rated Democrat in the past 100 years, while Reagan is the highest rated Republican since TR (moderates might prefer Eisenhower; but Ike would be too liberal of the modern GOP). And both, FDR and Reagan, were charismatic figures.
Discuss with maps if possible.

Assuming that both take modern positions on social issues, I basically agree with this.  Given the labor angle to an election between them, I would flip CO, OH and FL (social security!).  I'm not sure about VA, but I would guess it still barely goes to FDR.

This,...except add North Carolina, and flip Ohio and Florida.

I think Florida's senior citizens would vote with the elderly Reagan.

But FDR represents the good old days.

FDR wins because Reagan doesn't have a World War victory to run off of.

But Reagan had a Cold War victory to run on, which many elderly voters can still remember
