Absolutely.

Facebook is finally allowing this.

It is outrageous how endless violence is accepted, but a bare nipple is so controversial.

The link that I posted seems to indicate that.

Yes, and they should limited violence. I'm not sure anyone really wants to see a Facebook page with photos of corpses as the only thing on it.

Really, I don't think Facebook should place any limits on what's posted.

When was the last time you accidentally wound up on a page like that?

You have to check out every friend request... who knows, twenty years you might be married to someone you met on Facebook.

Yes (of course). What's showing violence got to do with anything?

Of course (normal)  I'm not into "no limits" since it's a private website, but yeah, let's not nanny state it either.

Of course, being a private website, they should obviously be allowed to limit what's posted. I'm just saying that if I was in charge of their policies I wouldn't.

Given the demographic of their users I think you have to have some limit, but certainly not breastfeeding.  Some guy chopping up his gf on a facebook video is kind of where my mind is on this subject.

I approve of anything that makes boobs more available for sight, whether or not portrayed in a sexual manner.  Women should also feel free to post as many videos of breast self-exams as possible, so their technique can be reviewed and critiqued for effectiveness.  Lives will be saved.

Both women and men should be able to post topless pictures of themselves on Facebook.

I find it very undesirable that we sooner censor a natural act where no one is a victim, because it shows *gasp* a bare breast/nipple, than graphic violence and language condoning rape (such as a group called 'Riding your girlfriend softly because you don't want to wake her up').

The standards in the media are not even close--a very extreme level of violence draws a lower rating than brief sexuality. Even if we accept that seeing sexuality/nudity may make a child more likely to experiment sexually, assuming it is consensual, that is still better than violence.

Oh, I completely agree with you. I just asked that because I missed your initial comment and I was wondering why people were asking about whether facebook showed violence - I assumed they were implying that showing breastfeeding was only okay if violence could be shown and I wanted to suggest that that wasn't a legitimate comparison.
