Conservative but with the desire for a new leader.

UKIP is disgustingly high for a forum of supposedly knowledgeable people.

SNP if Scottish.

Otherwise it depends on my electorate. If it was close, Labour. Otherwise I'd afford myself a Greens protest vote.

You couldn't find a more obscure option?

I'd probably vote Green or Labour, depending on how good my Labour candidate was and the safeness of my seat.

Knowledgeable but also self-consciously edgy in many cases.

Both of those are socialist unity groups, which is what the left needs more than anything else at the present moment, given our divided and sectarian state.

Besides, of the 'mainstream' choices, literally none of them appeal to me in the least. The Tories are Tories, Labour is Tory-lite, the Lib Dems are even more Tory-lite, the Greens are Tories on Bikes, and UKIP are the Tories turned up to 11. No way in hell I'd vote for any of those parties, assuming I lived in the UK in the here and now.

Labour, of course- and this goes for Wales and Scotland as well.  Maybe the Greens in the one or two constituencies where they have a chance.  As for Northern Ireland, eh, coinflip between SDLP and Alliance.

Both of those are socialist unity groups, which is what the left needs more than anything else at the present moment, given our divided and sectarian state.

The fact that there are multiple "socialist unity groups" is very telling. Tongue

I'd support a Carswell-ite UKIP. Other than that I'm not sure. I'm done with Cameron.

As an American, it is in my best economic interest that Europe is run by moronic joke parties.

Labour. Ideally, they'll win a Majority Government and the Lib Dems will be wiped off the map.

They're actually working together now, but afaik they're not running candidates in the same areas. Just supporting each others' endorsed candidates.

What do you have against the Lib Dems, granted, their numbers are down, but what actual thing do you not like about them?

It would depend on my constituency. In most cases, Labour, but if I lived in certain marginals in the West Country or Charles Kennedy's Scottish seat, then Lib Dem.

Maybe Green in the seats they had the best chances in.

This is an honest question, but how can anyone on the left support the Lib Dems after they've been junior partners in a coaltion with the Conservatives for the past five years? For me, that is a complete violation of trust and a violation of any left-wing ideology they claim to hold.
