After the events of this week, I am interested in seeing the responses to this.

HP (R)

She can't have it both ways. Either keep your sponsorship the bill and vote for it, or have the guts to actually come out against it. She did more damage to the GOP by her backpeddling than whatever would have been done by one bad headline on ThinkProgress about a bill with zero chance of become law.

She did more damage to the pro-life cause than Wendy Davis ever could.

Her actions are debatable from this week but I think she did the right thing. She is a FF for now.

I'm pro-choice, but I think Renee Ellmers is a good example of how you can be pro-life without necessarily viewing women as human incubators for fetuses, who deserve to be controlled by their husbands, boyfriends, rapists, and by old white male legislators acting as agents for the fetuses inside them.

Seems like a nice person, but she's utterly clueless.  She votes for this thing multiple times before and didn't have a problem with it. She said it would hurt the GOP with young people even though they are even more pro-life than the population at large and this bill has 60% support in the polls. And so she raised a fuss over a bill she said she'd vote for again anyway if it came up.

Age has nothing do with it. The average Republican Congressmen or Congresswoman is 5 years younger than the average Dem Congressmen or Congresswoman. The Dems just  are more diverse (more women, and more minority's) where as the Republicans are just much whiter. Just had to say that.

HP (D), but slightly better than the average mindless elected Republican. Keyword being slightly.

Her actions on abortion certainly don't excuse her bigotry towards Muslims. HP.
