I've voted in one (2014), and my candidate (Isa Infante for governor) came in forth place.Tongue

EDIT/CORRECTION: She actually came in fifth place.Tongue

What would be considered the "top of the ballot" in midterm years?

Anyway, I voted for one presidential loser (Romney in 2012), two Senate losers (Hoekstra in 2012 and Land in 2014), and one gubernatorial winner (Snyder in 2014.)

For Michigan it's probably Governor in mid term years. You'd know better then I.
But what if there are elections for both Governor and Senate?

I just went with whatever was literally at the top of the ballot.
