In Virginia this bill was introduced.

Summary as introduced:
Report of fetal death by mother; penalty.  Provides that when a fetal death occurs without medical attendance, it shall be the woman's responsibility to report the death to the proper law-enforcement agency within 12 hours of the delivery. Violation of this section shall be punishable as a Class 1 misdemeanor. Full text:

Of course it does, you get fined and sent to jail if its not reported within 12 hours.

If you see someone murdered, and you don't report it, I imagine that's against the law. That doesn't mean seeing someone murdered is criminalized. It means not reporting it is.

If you see someone murdered, and you don't report it, I imagine that's against the law. That doesn't mean seeing someone murdered is criminalized. It means not reporting it is.

How about this wording:

"Should not reporting miscarriages within 12 hours be criminalized, even if you didn't know what happened before the end of that 12 hour period"?

If the zealots really want to stamp out abortion, they'd better pass this, and investigate every 'miscarriage'.  Any one of them could be a harlot hiding an abortion!

Actually, it is not, as far as I know. I believe (although I may be wrong) that you have no obligation to report a crime.
