I'm pretty sure Michigan and Ohio went to war with each other once.

And Ohio lost since it kept Toledo.
Well, technically, it wasn't a war, because there was very little violence.  It was a border dispute known as the "Toledo War."  Michigan got most of the UP in exchange for ceding the Toledo strip to Ohio, so we actually got the better deal out of that.

And you're welcome for that. IIRC it was originally Wisconsin Territory, until Michigan had your little skirmish with Ohio Tongue

Verin is right...there is a strong kinship as Wisconsin is quite similar to MN in many underlying, important ways.

Like..we can call Sconies crazy belligerent drunks who partake in too much sausage, cheese, sauerkraut, and beer...and all things German...but if a Californian tries to put WI down by suggesting their hot dusty grassless dairy lots are better than green WI, then we jump to the rescue (mainly bu threatening to send vikings to their shore to pillage and raid and convert Californians to Lutheranism)

Louisiana always seems to be under the impression it has a rivalry with Texas, kind of like how a younger brother thinks he and his much cooler big brother are competitive equals WHEN THEY CLEARLY ARE NOT.
