Me: Guy Saint-Julien, Liberal, Abitibi.
Mother: Oza Tétreault, Social Credit Rally, Villeneuve
Father: Réal Caouette, Social Credit Rally, Villeneuve

Social Credit was a very wierd party based on rural Quebec (and rural western Canada) known for its various splits. The Quebec wing was led by Réal Caouette, which had a TV show every Saturday night. Rural people were listening to it very religiously. He had an huge charisma, it helped. It was very very very conservative socially, to not say far-right (foreigners, fornicators, non-Christians, Jews, bankers were all evil).

It had a very wierd economical platform called Social Credit, which was based on the "democratic control of credit" through government fixing the total amount of money avaliable in the economy, a mechanism to adjust prices so they fit their real production cost and a basic universal income for everyone.
