New Jersey has some genuinely urban spaces. Plus I could live in Jersey City, which is as close to Manhattan as Williamsburg, and benefit from lower prices and a more diverse local population.

Well, New Jersey has Chris Christie, and Delaware has Jack Markell.

I'll go with Delaware.

Depends on where in the state I am living quite considerably with these choices, but New Jersey is the winner.

Protip: There is nothing in Delaware. It only houses gas stations so you can stop on the way to better places.

Delaware. Not nearly as crowded and there are some very nice beaches there that people outside the vicinity probably don't know about.

I agree. Though it was quite a few years ago (10 years+), I had a few nice visits to the Rehoboth Beach, DE area. Similar to the Jersey Shore, but less built up. Home prices were more reasonable, too.

New Jersey at least is a legit State. Delaware is to the US what Liechtenstein is to Europe.

You people literally know nothing about Jersey other than stereotypes and that awful MTV show about people from Rhode Island.  How do I know?  Because you are saying you'd rather live in friggin Delaware.

Two lousy states...  New Jersey gave us Chris Christie and Delaware gave us Joe Biden.  Considering my presidential support is with Christie, I have to say New Jersey and then puke.

Why would anyone want to live in Delaware? There really isn't anything there that you can't do in New Jersey.
