a) he's clearly running b) he's setting himself up to be ripped to shreds by whomever the Democratic nominee is.

But it's a brilliant internal GOP strategy.

The clouds parted, and a ray of light shone down upon this glorious country. A voice boomed across the land, anointing Mike Huckabee Republican nominee for President of the United States in 2016...

....only for him to get completely clobbered by the Democrats. SATAN WINSSS!!!1!!!!1

While Huckabee is only marginally less disgusting than Rick Santorum ideologically speaking, he still usually comes across much better than Santorum.  Recently, however, he seems to be on a roll.  Does he want to throw away the shot he didn't even have at the nomination?

Is it the professional environment of New York or the professional environment of Fox News?  I would think a tabloid TV channel would attract unprofessional people.

I've always despised him politically, but is he trying to sabotage any personal likability that he had during 2008 for good??

Huckabee is really playing to the "get off my lawn!" wing of the party. 95% chance he runs, 100% chance he fails miserably ala Pat Robertson in 1988.

This:

is a picture of Mike Huckabee performing "Cat Scratch Fever" with well-known Michigan native, lunatic, and draft dodger Ted Nugent.

If Mike Huckabee thinks he gets to pick which immoral behaviors he finds appalling, and which immoral behaviors he's willing to capitalize on to strengthen his brand, he is mistaken.

I like Huckabee, but you don't throw your former co-workers under the bus in the manner that he did.  If you want to talk about them, talk about them privately where there are no cameras or mics.  In doing so, he probably just threw his own campaign under the bus.  He might as well not run now.

He's imploding much sooner than I thought he would.  I could have seen him maintaining credibility long enough to win Iowa, but now R's who care about the general will be even more sure to muscle him out of the way.

Comments like this (and of course his backing of Akin's rape comments) are not helping him with women. If he won the nomination, I think Hillary could actually win white women.

More evidence that Huckabee isn't actually running for President - he's just using the Republican nomination process as a platform to sell books to social conservatives.

Apparently, Huckabee has been a killjoy since his youth.  As a teenager, he wrote a column called "RAPture Express" for a weekly newspaper of the Baptist Missionary Association of Arkansas.  An excerpt from one of those columns…on dancing:

Huckabee is not a remotely serious candidate at this point.

What I don't get about Huckabee's complaint is he basically bit the hands that fed him.  Fox News was writing his paychecks and he chooses to display his gratefulness in this way?  He is a former Baptist minister in addition to being Governor of Arkansas, right?  It goes against what we believe in as Southern Baptists.  We may disagree with our employer or coworkers, but we don't bite the hand that feeds us by publicly shaming them and publicly throwing under the bus.  If we disagree with a coworker, we take it through the proper channels.  We don't talk about it publicly.  I like Huckabee, but I seriously have to question his judgment and his reasoning on this.

Why do so many poor Southerners bite the hand that feeds them through voting for tea partiers?
