I've been pretty sour on him since his race baiting in the Democratic primary. Pulling a Palin only intensifies that.

IIRC the Governor appoints a replacement so, this might be a net positive for the Democrats.

Drop a potentially scandal ridden Treasurer for a shiny and new one.

Uh...first of all, a race against McCord would have been closer anyway. If this came out during the campaign (likely), he would have been finished.

Huh, that's surprising. When I saw the title, my first thought was that he simply refused to work in Wolf's government in any capacity due to their deep personal dislike for each other.
