This PPP national poll was apparently paid for by Democratic donors who are pushing Warren to run for prez:

http://images.politico.com/global/2015/01/29/ppp_hrc-vulnerabilities_012015.html

It includes a bunch of push poll questions like "Hillary Clinton has supported the deregulation of big banks, which contributed to the financial collapse of 2008.  Would you be more or less likely to support a candidate for President who supports less oversight of big banks, or would it not make a difference?"

However, the Clinton favorability and GE matchup questions appear to come before the push poll questions, so make of that what you will.

Clinton 45%
Bush 41%

Clinton 45%
Christie 40%

Clinton 46%
Paul 39%

Clinton 47%
Romney 43%

Clinton 45%
Walker 42%

Clinton fav/unfav:
favorable 43%
unfavorable 48%

And yet they didn't do any Warren match ups?

A push poll for a candidate who isn't going to run...can it get any more worthless than this?

LMFAO, is this for real? When did this happen?

I'm honestly surprised one of the questions wasn't: "Hillary Clinton is Satan incarnate and wants to murder your family. Would you be more or less likely to support a candidate for President who is Satan incarnate and wants to murder your family, or would it not make a difference? Oh, and she also eats babies, what do you think about THAT, hmm?"

This piece of junk is beneath PPP and they should be ashamed for releasing it.

I think I may have just struck gold in the crosstabs. Even after like 20 push poll questions preaching the evils of Hillary Clinton, she still gets 60%+ support among Democrats.

So thank you donors, for making Hillary look even more inevitable than she did an hour ago. Looks like your false smears bounce right off teflon Hilldawg. Wink

These petty Democrats need to accept the inevitable and run with it.

"Hillary Clinton was investigated by the House Oversight Committee for her role in failing to stop the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi which left  four Americans dead and for covering up her failure.  With this knowledge in mind, do you trust Clinton to keep Americans safe?"

Progessives would be better served spending all of their resources in the House and Senate primaries to get the most liberal down ballot candidates as possible and support Hillary on the top 100%.

WTF? Which Democrat in their right mind would pay for this trash? This is beneath even the worst Fox News poll.

Yes, unfortunately progressives don't understand how the American political system works. Get the person who can win in the biggest landslide on the top of the ticket, and then elect the furthest left people in primaries for Congress/Senate who can be dragged into office on her coattails. They write all the legislation and she just signs it anyway.

Yes, absolutely!  The relative ideology of the president truly doesn't matter much at all with modern highly polarized parties.  Either their "side" has 60%+ control of congress and the entire left/right wing agenda of the day passes (FDR 1933-38, Reagan 1981-86 with conservadems, Obama 2009-10), or they have narrow control of congress and make a bunch of questionable deals (Bush 2003-06), or the opposition controls congress and nothing gets done (Obama 2011-16).
