My only issue with your amendment is that I actually like the term legislator. More so than the term Representative. I think I won't object and wait to add my own amendment.

Anyway, I support this, but I plan on reading the constitution before we pass it - because some of these terms may be engraved there.

I don't think it is supposed to be humorous.  It is just a neat little regional quirk that has become part of the region's identity.  There's literally no reason it should bother anyone, even those in the "Atlasia's Very Serious Business" crowd.

Of course we can keep legislator instead of representative, but as I think of it, the names are probably engraved into our constitution and would require a vote here and a public vote.
