I stopped taking him seriously quite a while ago, but when is someone going to point out to him that just by existing as a candidate, he's damaging the party brand?

Mike Huckabee was apparently a good administrator, but he has offended so many demographics that even if they overlap (one can be gay and love structured music and be at least a part-time drinker) that he would lose enough of those demographic groups in states that (like Ohio  -- Cleveland and Cincinnati have fine symphony orchestras) any Republican will absolutely need that he would lose at least as badly as McCain in 2008, if for different reasons. He does not know that Reform Jews often have abandoned kosher food laws.

I have enjoyed alcoholic beverages with classical music (basically a coincidence) before I got gout and had to swear off classical music...

Just imagine him having a miserable time in Milan (opera), Vienna or Prague, where classical music is big in people's lives.

That's nothing.  When Huckabee was governor of Arkansas, and Fay Boozman made Akin-esque comments suggesting that rape-activated female hormones could prevent pregnancy, Huckabee not only defended him, but appointed him to be the head of Arkansas's Department of Health:
