For me:

Intermediate skier and basically somewhere between beginner and intermediate snowboarder.

I also ski down tough slopes, but I cannot say the same with a snowboard (I didn't go snowboarding for quite some time).

I also like to do other winter sports, such as tobogganing or hiking up mountains with snow shoes.

I have never played ice hockey or curling though.

I'm the opposite. I curl, I've played hockey but have never skied or snowboarded (despite living in Whistler for 2 months)

Intermediate skiing
I never did snowboarding
I also sometimes take a skiing tour, which is first going up a mountainw ith your skis, and then skiing down! away from the tourist slopes... It's great, and I love it

Never tried either. No mountains or snow here. Not opposed to giving it a shot if the opportunity ever arose. Looks like it'd be pretty tough on the ankles though.

Not so much the ankles, much more the knees. You can get really horrible knee injuries if you fall.

And of course the head, so better always wear a good helmet (not the cheap crap).

Intermediate skier. Or at least I was. Haven't done it in about 8 years. Never snowboarded. Those little platforms terrify me.

I do enjoy cross-country skiing. Downhill skiing, I've only done a couple of times, and I'm still a beginner. I have never snowboarded.
