I would actually say no. Assuming a white male candidate, I think they would be best off picking a minority male as their VP. You can't beat Hillary at her own game, and a female #2 won't steal any votes from a female lead candidate.

I still think Rubio is the best possible VP. Conservative enough to match up with a candidate like Walker, while not being off-putting. He's also pretty disciplined, and not prone to gaffes.
