It's a bit of fun as Peter Snow would say- but it shows how your position changes with each question you answer.

That is fun.  I am just above and to the right of Thatcher.

Slightly right of average
Econ - 45
Soc - 43

I disagreed with some questions.  I doubt many leftists would be thrilled if their kids were smoking or vandalizing property, but this test says they would be.

52/42

Peter is the closest to me so far. I'm sorta in the middle of the LibDems/site average/Noam Chomsky triangle.

Right next to Thatcher.

Note that I gave a silly answer to one question (September 2007?  I'll be busy that month), so I probably shouldn't be that far right socially.

Problems with a lot of questions, really...(writing this while doing the test btw)
Question One: Helping "Illegal" immigrants is Libertarian and Rightwing? Not in a sane political climate it isn't.
Question Two: Obviously Options One and Four both apply. I took option one.
Question Four: The Council Tax is flawed as a concept...but I went with option one.
Question Eight: No problem with a national ID card...has always worked fine over here...but I hear something about biometric data stored on it. I oppose that.Took option three, btw.
Question nine: Actually, I wouldn't smoke together with my kid. But I was too tempted by the wording of option four.
Question ten: Obviously the problem does not lie with the school but with myself, so what's this supposed to be about? Picked option three anyways.
Question eleven: Definitely "gee."
Question thirteen: Just barge past, actually.

69/33. Until two questions before the end I was in the Libertarian sector, but those two got me heavily shifting southwest.
So...Jfern and Pete Bell are closest to me. We should get Opebo to take this test.

I´m at the line between "centrist" and "libertarian", slightly leaning to the left (somewhere between Chomsky and the Dalai Lama).

I agree that this test is flawed... there´s always a difference between what YOU would do (or not do) and what do you want the government to do (or not to do). But this tests mixes the two things up. Example: Personally, I think smoking and (too excessive) drinking is a bad idea... but does it mean I´m advocating the ban of cigarettes and alcohol?

On social issues, I scored 34 and on economic issues, I scored 29

I'm a centrist with authoritarian and left wing tendencies

Closest political party is the Labour Party (though I'm to the right of it) and the closest personality to me is the Dalai Lama (I'm more right wing than him and he's less authoritarian than me)

Former Labour Cabinet minister in the '60's and '70's, a bleedin nuisance in the '80's and the third Benn to be an M.P (his son, Hilary, is the fourth... and he's a cabinet minister as well).
Used to be a fairly technocratic politician, moved violently to the left at some point in the early '70's and has been heading in that direction ever since.

I took it from his perspective, a little difficult since there usually wasn't an option that fit his outlook, although the question abou weed was pretty easy:

I also took it from my mom's persepctive and got almost dead center:
