Not only does BRTD have steady gainful employment, he also has an apparently enjoyable social life with friends who share his life experiences and interests. As weird as those life experiences and interests are, that's nothing to sneeze at.

Spinster>BRTD>>>>>>>>>Bushie.

This. Plus, family reunions would never be short of entertainment, and not the sad Update kingd.

I would like scientifically literate grandkids who don't get their science from Ken Ham and the Creation Museum, so BRTD for sure.

I would have no problem with my daughter marrying BRTD. He seems like a hard-working and committed person, with a steady job and ambition for advancement. He has many interests outside of work and seems to lead an active social life that, as an added bonus, does not involve "loving on children" at any point. While I don't know him that well, everything I've seen from him leads me to believe that he is of at least decent moral character, and would not, for instance, steal money from his parents to pay for pornography. He also seems fiercely loyal (though sometimes to an extreme, to be fair). He lives in a good area of the country that I would enjoy visiting, and he would not raise my grandchildren to be anti-science idiots who believe the universe is 4000 years old.
