My estimate for me is about 11 hours on a typical day. 3-5 hours of the 11 hours are school-related (with three being the average)

Probably 11-12 hours, though at least 8 of it is typically work related.

This, except replace "work" with "school."

We have school netbooks and need them to write papers and do online assignments.

Maybe 1 to 5. I spend most of my day at school, and I usually get home around 5:30. Then I'll either get on the computer or spend time with actual friends, which is maybe an interesting concept.

Whoa ... I'd never really thought about it, but it's a lot of time. Most of my work is on a computer or over the phone (while looking at a computer), and it's always online. So the vast majority of my workday is online / on a computer. Then I'm online a lot once I get home. Even when I'm not doing that, I'm watching TV.

I won't say it's sad ... it's just the way things are, and it makes me think that maybe I need to take a walk once in a while to get away!

We do something similar to this at our school (although we do this with tablets, not netbooks), which is why I usually spend 11 hours with an electronic device a day. If our school never did this, I think I would only spend like 6-8 hours a day on electronic devices.

95% of the time I'm awake, at least during the week when I don't really hang out with people or see my girlfriend.

Generally between 4 to 6 (including phone), down from 12 "back in the day."  If I have a day off of work and there is a political event I may spend more time online.

I'm actually close to zero from eight to four (two on some days), as we don't use any electronic devices in school, teachers even b-tch around because of phones; but once I'm home... Way too much Tongue Probably something around 6-8 hours...
