"Right track" hasn't been at 50% since 2005. Will it ever be again, or have we entered an environment too cynical for it to ever happen again?

Not until Obama leaves office, is replaced by a competent white person (so southerners have to find a reason that isn't racial to oppose the president's path), and congress learns how to compromise.
