COMRADES!

The time is upon us. Welcome one, welcome all to the Winter 2015 Labor Party National Convention in beautiful Buffalo, New York!

This is that wonderful time of year when our party comes together to forge itself under a single banner, to hoist that banner high, and to take on all those who seek to tear that banner down, to take us to the dark days of the past. The Labor Party convenes in Buffalo this fine February day to hammer out a program that will uplift the working masses and to endorse the candidates of those masses, to provide for a means for victory at the end of this month against Fedoralist reaction. Let the convention begin!

As with any convention, it is important to have an orderly process. By my calculations, it could take the better part of a month to complete all of these tasks if we only do one at a time. For this reason, we will be conducting business side-by-side; not every aspect of this convention will be conducted at once, but if a particular item is taking too long we will begin working on another subject concurrently. Non-Laborites who persistently disturb this Convention will be tased, hauled off by the Nat Turner Brigade and awake in the nearest Tender Branson's So Deep So Deep Dungeon franchise.

Due to all of this, I ask that all posts made by Party members within this thread use the following coded system when it pertains to your specific comment at the beginning of each post:

[BYL] - By-laws
[PLA] – Party Platform
[END] – Presidential Endorsement
[SEN] – Senatorial Endorsement
[CON] – Convention Location Selection

This will make record-keeping and reference for all much easier.

Please enjoy the handcrafted Subway Prole sandwiches available to all in the lobby, served up by our very own unionized, co-op workers. We will likewise make available the finest union-made beers, wines, and spirits upon the beginning of the convention. The business of the convention will itself begin tomorrow, but in the meantime feel free to sign in and make yourselves at home!

I would like to get the smallest order of business out of the way first by selecting the location for our next Labor Party National Convention. Our next convention must take place in the Midwest, so for the next 24 hours, we'll nominate Midwestern cities for the honor of hosting the Spring 2015 Labor Party National Convention.

I nominate Missoula.

Comrade Chairman, once the matter of choosing the convention location is resolved, I would like to respectfully request a spot to speak to the convention in favor of the presidential candidacy of our esteemed comrade, Senator bore.
