Some kids need to be spanked, some don't. People are different and thus need different forms of discipline to learn what is right and is wrong. Whatever works for your kids


EDIT: Parents can demean, abuse, and be violent toward their children through verbal/emotional abuse and in extreme cases, intentional neglect. Considering I have a mom who is pretty verbally/emotionally abusive towards my brothers and my dad as well as me, I'd rather have taken quick slaps across the face or the wooden spoon on my hand over the past 19 years rather than what she did to us.
