What other than Pence ' s proposed state run media channel and his tax plan in Indiana would Democrats attack Pence on?

Why are we talking about freaking Pence? In the outlandish scenario that he is nominated or gets close to it, then we can talk about the Democratic strategy against him.

Authoritarian nature with stripping Ritz of her elected powers, retarded push for a gay marriage ban, pretending he doesn't know what's his own administration is doing regarding JustIN and the f_ckup with ISTEP testing this year, running our education system into the ground, taking credit for Daniels' budget surpluses and good economy, Congressional record, list goes on...

He's a formidable contender and I've been saying that for years. He can be electable nationwide.

He won by three points in a state Romney won by ten, so one strategy would be to find out what his Democratic opponent used.

He's also very socially conservative, so he's vulnerable to those attacks.

No chance at the nomination, it will end up being bush, rubio or walker at the end. Pence if he runs won't even finish in the top 8 most likely.

School districts across the state are laying off teachers and staff (and have been for some time) because of Indiana's screwed up school funding forumla, as well as Pence giving money away to private and charter schools at the expense of public schools.

My former school district suddenly announced that they were laying off 50 non-certified staff on January 30th, and will be laying off teachers and other important staff in May when contracts expire, because of debt and deficits that resulted from the formula (we get $1,000 per student less than average, which for a the high school alone works out to $1.6 million lost). Our school district is the 3rd best in the state and 303rd in the nation, and in May of 2013 we voted to raise property taxes 66% - 34% to fund the schools, which are a major reason property values are so high. The unusually high number of property tax settlements in December (some dating back a decade) that denied them over $2 million for the current budget year was the final nail in the coffin after years of cuts and deferred hiring and projects.

My town voted 51.66% for Romney in 2012, in the same election it voted 50.00% Gregg for Governor, and I hope that in 2016, towns like mine will swing so hard against Pence that he goes down in flames for what he's done and what he will do to Indiana (Pence won 49.6% to 46.4%, only 80,000 votes). In 2012 no one predicted that Glenda Ritz would ghetto-stomp Tony Bennett in the State Superintendent of Schools race (she won 53% of the vote, IIRC), and I hope what happened to him also happens to Pence for similar crimes against our schools.

There was a lot of bad blood in the state GOP over the defeat of Lugar

It suggests significant weakness in an open election.
