Aside from Medicaid expansion and a planned severance tax, he's done basically nothing notable that would gain him popularity with the left. Everything else has been governing as an uncaring, relentless hardcore conservative.

- Signing modern day Jim Crow laws restricting students and minorities from voting

- Signing off on abortion restrictions that closed clinics, de-funded Planned Parenthood, required unnecessary ultrasounds, and threatens healthcare providers all in a state budget. And he signed those restrictions all while white male Cabinet officials of Kasich happily looked on.

- Senate Bill 5 which drastically set out to destroy the labor force in Ohio and became a complete flop for his administration after it was overturned by voters in a public referendum

- Senate Bill 310 which rolled back renewable energy standards, lost the energy sector thousands of jobs and raised electricity costs. Kasich supposedly signed it after the Koch Brothers gave him a nice campaign contribution in return.

- A modern day H.W. Bush. He's made several claims that he's balanced the budget all while not raising taxes, which is entirely false. He keeps on raising a regressive sales tax in every one of his state budgets which disproportionately hurts the poor and middle class, and has his mind set on abolishing the income tax completely in his second term as governor.

- In regard to tax breaks, the wealthiest Ohioans get thousands in tax breaks under his system while the working class gets a $40 tax break.

- Privatizing a state government agency and then controversially using tax dollars to make back room dealings and give political power to his friends.

- Signing a law that literally allows an Ohioan to carry a concealed gun into bars, restaurants, and stadiums.

- Publicly calling a cop an idiot after Kasich got a traffic ticket, and later going on to politically attack them by cutting state funds for police and firefighters.

- Taking credit for Ohio's recovery, even though it was the federal auto bailout that brought Ohio back on track. And even with the bailout, we rank among the lowest state's in job creation under Kasich and we're still down hundreds of thousands of manufacturing jobs.

- Calling the 1996 government shutdown one of the greatest moments of his career.

- Claims he supports bipartisan government, but he constantly threatens his political rivals, Republican or Democrat, who don't support his agenda and candidates.

- In a country where LGBT rights have become overwhelmingly supported, Kasich says "he doesn't approve of the gay lifestyle."

- Refuses to allow Ohio Republicans to take up a bill that would raise the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour.

- Has cut over $500 million from public schools.

- Instead of meeting with the workers in Monroe County who were laid off after a power plant in Southeast Ohio shut down, he instead decided to go to Nevada to meet with billionaire donor Sheldon Adelson.

And I could go on and on, but this is just some of the basic stuff they could attack him on.
