They'll tie him to Ted Cruz and his ilk.  Honestly, not a bad strategy, and I'm jealous they'll be able to do it.  Logically, it's lazy and stupid (if there's anything history has taught us, it's that Northern Dems like FDR and JFK are exactly like the reactionary Southern members of their party, right?!), but it'll be used, and it very well may work.
