I think some people here still live during Reconstruction or the New Deal, when voting for someone meant you had an sacred, unbreakable bond to them.

How do you think this is true at all? The voters in Winston County, Alabama were probably voting for reasons much less "sacred" and "unbreakable" than 5 minutes of research. Is this a parody?

Winston County is home to Blankhead National Forest. A nature-y relocated individual who moved here to work for the park.

There are granola types in every state, even Alabama. No doubt some of them voted for Stein.
