Businessman/philanthropist Fred Hubbell is in for the Democratic side. He's probably one of the wealthiest people in Des Moines, and he's got a ton of name recognition. But he's never run for office before, so we'll see how this goes.

At this point, I'd be willing to bet money that the Democratic race is going to convention.

Democrat Phil Miller just won a special state house election in a seat Trump won by 22 points. Miller defeated his Republican opponent by 10.

McGuire almost single-handedly drove the IADP into the ground with her massive incompetence.  She needs to be kept away from the ticket at all costs.
