>Cannot find a cheaper alternative for accepting credit cards such as a smartphone device after being convinced to buy a credit card machine in a cold call/demonstration from a morbidly obese man with Tourette's

Here's what makes no sense to me: if you need a credit card reader for your business, you can order one online.

https://www.google.com/search?q=credit+card+terminals&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8#q=credit+card+terminals&tbm=shop

Where is the need for someone to sell one in person? You certainly wouldn't need to do a product demo since even people who don't own one have certainly used one.

Maybe these small- and medium-sized business owners are as wary of the Internets as Jeff Brown, B.E-Comm. is, and would rather buy their credit card reader from a real life person for that small town, old fashioned country personal touch.
