True -- but we all know the ultimate objective... evisceration of public and private unions alike.

Everyone who is against unions should be shot, like right now.
Yeah, just like strikers should be!

And this is why no one takes you guys' political views seriously.

The extremity of Rauner's opponents shows you how desperate they are. They wouldn't be resorting to such hyperbole if they thought they were going to be on the winning side of things.

That's hardly a regularly occurring sentiment among Rauner's opponents.

On Atlas, you have to have left-of-center views on everything to be a moderate.  The second you have one view that is right-of-center, you're simply a right-winger.  There is no difference between Ted Cruz and Rauner; this is just a fact, okay?!

Attacking organizational freedoms is simply "right of center"?

I disagree, Cruz is not nearly as bad as Rauner

Rauner was never moderate about unions, particularly the leaders of public-sector unions, during the campaign, which is why they spent so much in both the primary and general election against him. However, he took such a moderate stance on social issues, that the unions paid for ads for the Libertarian candidate to try to peel off conservative votes. One of his executive orders this week was to begin the reform of sentencing guidelines to reduce the prison population, and it has gotten cheers from minority groups and other organizations that tend to the left.

Right, I was making the point that someone can be a moderate and still have SOME non-moderate views.

Oh, no? Then why did he run an ad on my television claiming he "stands with labor"?

A phrase like "stands with labor" without some policy specifics attached means nothing.  It could just as easily mean "stands with labor against the greedy labor unions" as any other interpretation.

It absolutely implies that he is moderate on unions. No question.

65% of Illinois voters approved a constitutional amendment to allow for a recall of the governor. The time has come to use it.

You mean the racial discrimination of affirmative action (because "reverse discrimination" is totally a thing). Get your right-wing slogans right, dude.

I THINK Monarch's joke was that Rauner's claim to "stand withh labor" by pulling this move is akin to a pol saying they "stand" with African-Americans by opposing what they near-universally favor.
