Yeah, I don't even know what's going to happen to the people of Alabama come June. Maybe this way they can get it all out of their system before the BIG ruling.

I have a feeling we will see a similar reaaction if the 5th Circuit overturns that ban (which they appear to be likely to do)

As expected.

That's if the fifth circuit even rules. There's been some suggestion that it will just neglect to decide the case due to the supreme court agreeing to rule on the issue. Now, if the 5th circuit wants to rule against SSM, they will probably issue a ruling to give SCOTUS a non-sixth-circuit anti-ssm opinion, which may help to push SCOTUS towards an anti-ssm ruling. But if the 5th circuit wants to rule in favor of SSM, there's no need for them to issue that opinion, as the present odds are that's how the SCOTUS will rule.

Exactly how could God's wrath make Alabama any worse than it already is?

I suppose by destroying it entirely, although that might be a good thing as there's no reason AL needs to exist.

It's still a bit better than Eritrea.

Atlas posters continue to be comically disconnected from the reality of the Republican base. Love it.

I doubt that matters one iota. SCOTUS will rule however it wants no matter what the 5th circuit says.
