No, you see, there were 2-3" inches of snow outside one day.  It's impossible to walk anywhere in those conditions, so you have to take the week off from it.  This is NOT HIS FAULT.

Don't mean to pile on, but when have you ever had a good month dieting?

Bushie, do you have a problem with binge eating? You're not alone if you do.

Binge as in I eat and eat and eat seemingly without stop?  Not really.  I eat a lot, but I really don't binge on anything except maybe cokes.  My problem is the choices I make and not liking the idea of cooking for one.  It's no fun cooking for just one person.

The funny things are:

1-Bushie's credit report is no doubt garbage and
2-Unlike many people with bad credit, most of it is primarily his fault.

Bushie isn't like the people with sob stories about being foreclosed in 2008 after being laid off during the worst of the recession or people who had to declare bankruptcy after massive medical bills, his credit black marks are all due to him not being able to hold a job for more than a few months and awful decision making on top of that. Take the short sale of his house, which could've been completely avoided had he never bought the house that he never needed in the first place. So if they still hire after the credit check, I wonder what they are looking for. Granted I know it's common that the only employers who tend to care a lot about credit score are financial industry ones but then you wonder why this one is checking in the first place.

Actually, I just checked my credit score a couple of weeks ago and I'm sitting pretty good.  It's by no means glamorous, but it is not garbage, either.  The worst problem I have is a nearly maxed out credit card.  The short sale on the house doesn't even show up, so my realtor was right, it must have dropped off my credit after a year or so, which would have been last August.  I don't care to release the actual score here, naturally, but it's not that bad.  It could use some improvement, but I would be able to sign for a major purchase like furniture or a car without needing a cosigner.

Bushie, a short-sale will still show up on the Credit Report.  What you looked at is a Consumer report which takes less into consideration than a full report.

A full credit report has three bureau's and goes back much further in time, the short-sale absolutely will show up when you look for a car, try to buy a home, etc, as banks get a much fuller picture when they pull credit than you do through a consumer report.

We had this discussion back in 2013, we're not going to go over it again.

Bushie, I'm a loan officer at a mortgage company, I know how these things work....

you arent in charge.  god is!

It's no fun cooking for just one person.

Just cut down on the amounts given in any recipe you're using. Problem solved.

That's not the problem.  It's the loneliness factor.

And it isn't lonely when you get your food in a drive thru?

bushie is your grocery job full or part time?

if it is part time, your hours will be slashed as soon as you start calling out with grade 6 headaches.

It's lonely there, too, but it turns into "comfort food" at the drive thru.  I find comfort in hamburgers and pizza more so than in vegetables and fruits.  I know that's not a good thing, but it's what I am dealing with.

It is full time.  I would not accept a part-time job.

But you could cook your own comfort food. You might find it surprisingly enjoyable. Control of ingredients and portion sizes would mean that it would be better for on two counts (i.e. what you're eating and what you're spending).

I agree with that, but getting in that habit is not as easy as it looks.

LOL, seriously though I don't fault Bushie for not actually knowing.  There are a ton of misconceptions when it comes down to credit, some of which I had myself before working in the mortgage industry and dealing with credit on a daily basis.  There have been numerous times where a client of mine thought their credit was different than reality due to tither their own misconceptions about credit, using a consumer credit report or both.

Excuses, excuses. It's also not as hard as it looks to eat healthy without cooking for yourself

Here, try this:

Tyson frozen ready made grilled chicken breast
+
Green Giant steamfresh broccoli spears
+
Minute brown rice

No actual cooking required. Just reheat things in the microwave/on the stove. Economically, it probably costs the same to go to Braum's, but it is a healthier meal. The problem isn't the external situations surrounding your meal choices but the simple fact that you don't want to it healthy food.

Until you stop blaming everything else from distance to the market or how busy you are or how lonely you are, you'll never tackle the problem that you don't like the taste of broccoli and you need to change that and start eating broccoli.

I have been drinking more water.  I'm not up to where I need to be, but I'm at about 2-4 glasses a day which is better than 0 glasses a day.

Pour a cold glass of water to go with your coke. Before every sip of coke, sip water to cleanse  your palate and enjoy a much sweeter, refreshing coke than you would have if your tastebuds were simply numbed by 100% pure coke.

No, this grocery job was entirely of my own doing.  Dad was on board instantly after I told him (which I didn't tell them until AFTER the interview and hire).  Mom took some more persuading, basically concerned about the physical labor, but she sees the need in putting an end to the job search because I wasn't getting any legitimate bites from anybody else.  She sees the need, but not necessarily agrees with THIS particular job.  I think Dad and I have ironed her fears out, though.  Now, it's up to me to produce (no pun intended)!

So, Bushie, as preparation, double your walking time to 40 minutes/day! You can do it in two 20 minute spurts if you like, but it needs to be done.
