He'd have to have no convictions whatsoever. Basically a Republican version of FDR.

Nobody is too moderate for me. Wink

But I always judge a candidate on policies and personal qualities more or less equally.

If there is ever as funny a candidate as to say, "I'm more moderate than you, Ha, ha, ha", than I will vote for the other party.

I don't see that happening though.

Um, moderateness is a plus for me. They would have to be extremist for me to vote for the other party.

If by other party you mean the Constitution Party, they'd have to be slightly to Bush's left.

Isn't this a bit counter-intuitive? One would think one would be more likely to vote against a candidate who was more extreme, not the other way around.

I would however switch parties if it was any moderate Republican vs Zell Miller, or someone similiar.

Ditto, or they would have to acctually be more Liberal than the Dem candidate, but only if the Dem is, also Moderate or Left-of-Center.  If the Dem is a Conservative, I might vote for the more Moderate Republican.

I'd vote for any moderate Democrat over a typical Republican. However, if the candidate is right-wing and spineless, I'd have to reconsider.

Bayh moderate.  But I would only vote for the other party if the candidate of that party was extremely moderate, ie Romney.
