This seems to be a more appropriate question for this time.

I hope so, and I don't see what would stop him. I think the Democrats are going to push him hard to run especially with Walker potentially being on the ballot. Kind is strong, but it's definitely more uphill for him than a legend like Russ. I'm sure he's loving being a mid-level State Department official to do nonsense in Africa, but this could be a case where he may be willing to put in the effort required for a return to the US Senate. He may not even need the Democrats to draft him.

I don't see him running. I would love to see it though.

For being in Congress for 18 years, he's still only 61. Depends on how much he wants to put himself through a race like this.

One interesting thing is that the 3rd class Senate seat in Wisconsin (the one that he has) has had an incumbent defeated for the past 98 years. The last incumbent in that seat to not loose re-election at some point was Paul Husting in 1917, when he died.

I hope once Hilary announces, I do see a scenario in which Feingold runs, hoping he along with Strickland, and Duckworth, who is gonna run is talking to Tester, now.

And even if Johnson survives in 2016, he seems likely to be ousted at some point, so the trend seems likely to continue.

I hope so. I think he's our best chance to oust Johnson, though Kind would have a good chance of winning as well.

I think he will. He will be heavily recruited by the DSCC.

I hope not he cost us the seat in 2010 because of his the poor campaign he ran.

If he can find it in him to run a reform, anti Wallstreet bailout campaign, he will jump in.  The tide was against him, because the country hadn't recovered from a recession and people were against the TARP Obama adminstration passed.

Buyer's remorse on the part of Ron Johnson on sticking to his position on votes against background checks, minimum wage and campaign finance reform.

Russ Feingold is not a household name that most Americans know. Despite that, I recall my mother bringing multiple articles to my attention about how he was running an incredible campaign and was traveling all over the state because he cared deeply about winning a 4th term. He did nothing poorly (except perhraps not going negative?). This wasn't exactly a Udall situation. 2010 was just a disaster and there was a huge enthusiasm gap - mostly national but also with Walker excitement I believe. It would have been hard to do better than Feingold did.

Feingold would be heavily favored in 2016 even with Walker on the GOP ticket.

The problem with Feingold is that he refused to accept outside help. That's what happens when you unilaterally disarm. If he decides to change his mind on that issue, then I'd fully support him. If he intends to do the same thing, then hopefully Kind runs instead.

Surprised this hasn't been posted here yet.

He's gonna run a populist, anti Wallstreet campaign, targetting how many people Wallstreet left behind during the Great Recession.  And targetting Johnson's vote against background checks, as a way that he is out of the mainstream, because it was a bipartisan bill, not giving all that much credit to Toomey who is running in a hard fought campaign as well. But more to Obama and Joe Manchin.
