Bush 41 today just beat John Adams, and now he has  to beat these two.

Both of them lived to be 93,  but had a 45 day difference between them. Bush will have to live to see November 25, 2017 if he were to outlive both of them.

Will Bush outlive them?

I hope he does. I'm a little concerned, given his recent hospital trips. Bush 41 was a health buff in his younger days and he seems mentally aware and all there.

I think he's hanging on for Jeb.

Maybe.

It's looking like Carter will live to 120.

Didn't Herbert Hoover surpass Adams as well?

Not to be morbid about this or anything, but if it's Jeb v.s. Hillary, could Jeb get a significant bump if Bush 41 dies close enough to election day? I don't mean to be insensitive but there's a legitimate chance of that happening and it could have some effect.

Obama's grandmother (who effectively raised him) died right the weekend before election day in 2008. Of course by then the election was already a foregone conclusion, but it didn't really affect anything. He gave a heck of a speech that night though.

Obama's grandmother wasn't a well known, fondly remembered former President at the time of her passing.

No Hoover died slightly before matching Adams's record
