It's a stunt of course, but good on Senator Jackson for shaming the NC GOP.

I note the absence of a quorum.

Which Jackson himself noted.  Besides, even if he had gotten stuff passed for real, the House and the Governor would have blocked his efforts.

Clearly, he wasn't actually serious.

Ever since he was appointed in 2013, I've had really high hopes for Jackson. Definitely a good pol to watch in NC.

I don't get it. I was hoping for some Jimmy Stewart action. This thread is kinda a letdown.

What exactly did he do? Was there actually anything written or just some posts? Because I don't really find it funny or anything if it was the latter. It'd be pretty dull. If he had laws and was running around the chamber going through all the motions, now that'd be something. Who knows, maybe there'd be some loophole he'd have (inadvertently) exploited.

I like how have the blue avatars don't get why it's funny, when they would almost certainly react with amusement if a Republican state senator did the same in a Dem-dominated state.

Guy goes to work. Ends up being only person at work. Guy cheekily does everything he's wanted to do for a example, while knowing full well it doesn't matter, because he's the only one to show up.

nope, sorry I still don't get it. I guess it's not my kind of humor. If he ran back and forth between his seat in the chamber and the  ppt's chair and banged the gavel a few time that could have been funny but I'd need video to really appreciate it.
