I wouldn't be surprised if some right-wingers call them out on this because they're so hopped up on supply side Kool-Aid that they view anything involving poor people getting more money as evil in and of itself.

Kind of like when VW, a publicly traded, profit-driven corporation acting independently of any government body, offered its US employees the opportunity to unionize and all the dittoheads online started railing about how they weren't going to buy cars from a "socialist corporation."

I mean right-wingers who solely follow Fox News may think so, but companies raising wages on their own is a good thing. Walmart should've done this years ago. The fact is, low wages are a bad thing, especially if their below how productive workers are, because then, likely, worker productivity goes down, and that's bad for Walmart and consumers will likely go elsewhere.

The fact they've waited so long to do this shows Walmart leadership has been ignoring long term effects of these low wages.
