It's silly that we don't have a thread for this already. Since Bangladesh avoided losing to Afghanistan as I had feared, now we can laugh at England losing to New Zealand by eight wickets (!) after 12.2 overs (!!!).

The England one day squad is a hilarious disaster at present.

England were 3/106 at one stage as well. Oh dear.

Of course England and Pakistan being a bit rubbish (and Ireland beating the Windies) does have the advantage of making a potentially dreary format (a very long group stage which could easily have ended in a very predictable set of eight teams qualifying) more interesting.

Actually I think our (England's) board rather deserve us to lose to Bangladesh or Afghanistan.  So, while it'll be a bit embarrassing, I won't mind that much if it happens...

Oh, and the Windies bowled a load of rubbish at Ireland and then had Pakistan four down for one run.  LOL.

Obviously stealing a point against Australia is a wonderful result; what this means is that Bangladesh will likely be in with a victory over England.

That wasn't exactly a surprise.

I've tuned out after watching India vs. Pakistan.

Yeah, India vs South Africa should be great, although the result may be all too predictable. Now if it were a knockout match, considering South Africa's history in them, that would be a different story. Tongue

So glad I was wrong about the South Africa game.

So who do you guys think is the stronger group? I say it's pool A because of Australia and of course New Zealand. After India and Ireland, they are definitely my favorites.

Had all four of Pool A making the semis pre-tournament. I've backed away from that, but yeah it's clearly stronger than Pool B.

The West Indies scored 195 runs in the last 13 overs of their innings against Zimbabwe...

Pool B is definitely stronger than Pool A so happy that India beat SA. Hopefully, India will win this world cup.

England now out of the World Cup. In a tournament which is supposed to fit the Big 8 like a glove.

Winning was great and all, but the important thing here is to laugh at England.

Talking of which, have you heard Peter Moores' reaction to the fiasco?

"We thought 275 was chaseable. We'll have to look at the data."
