Toppenbiljart is the only one, for sure.

(It would appear to be rather hideously called Bumper Pool in English)

Had no idea there were so many.  I have encountered only four:  billiards (aka "pool"), nine-ball, eight-ball, and smack.  I voted "Straight Pool" assuming that what I call billiards you call straight pool.

There are far more games. I only took the larger ones (+ my own national game). As you can see above there are already people with a favourite game not mentioned.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cue_sports#List_of_cue_sports

I was going by the Wiki names. Straight pool is mentioned as one of the games collectively known as (pocket) billiards in the US and pool billiards in Oz and UK, but billiards is a name used for a wide variety of games (I had never heard it used for a game with pockets before).

What is smack? (is it played on a pool table?)

Well, smack is what I call it.  It's where you drive to a biker bar/pool hall in your red mercedes and saunter in with your khakis and polo shirt.  You're only there because your little sister got a job as a junior bartender there and has said that she'll give you free drinks if you come visit her at work.  You see real bikers dressed in black leather chaps and comment about how they look like Randy from the Village People.  Eventually you loosen up and start to play darts and billiards with the bikers while sampling their fine herbs.  With all the booze and fumes you begin to notice that the senior bartender Michelle becomes more and more attractive as the evening progressive.  She starts to make you strong drinks and hints about what time she gets off work.  At some point you become a little too loose say something really stupid to one of the bikers with whom you're playing billiards, after which a scuffle ensues, resulting in your being hit over the head with a pool cue.  Luckily Michelle is there so that when you come to there's someone nursing you and protecting you.  Michelle becomes your squeeze for about a week.  And what a week!  Subsequent visits to the aforementioned establishment do not inspire you to make so many sardonic comments to the bikers, many of whom still look like they stepped right off the cover of a Village People album.

Anyway, I call it smack because that's the last sound you hear before everything goes dark.

Cue sports should exclusively be played when drunk. Otherwise, I'd write in something more productive like chopping my limbs off.
