Lately I've found myself yearning more and more for the good old days, though mostly in football. I miss the good old days before the perma-outraged crowd decided it should be neutered. I miss the good old days when you didn't have the media trying to destroy it, when we didn't have to hear about something called CTE on the news every day. I miss the days when the President of the United States wasn't saying he'd never let his son play football. And above all, I miss the days when we played football as it was meant to be played, back when they could hit and actually play defense.

Those were the good old days. I just wish I'd been around sooner so I could have enjoyed a few more seasons of pre-targeting rule college football. Bennet Omalu and all his fellow concussion alarmists can go to hell. This is our sport and we shouldn't have to change it because a few people got hurt.

He posted this seriously on AAD too. There is nothing wrong with the state of modern football except for NFL drama.

Only thousands of people, maybe potentially just a few millions when you include HSB, were having their physical and mental health sabotaged without their knowledge while the NFL hid the evidence.

These liberal pussies just need to get over it.  C'mon, man!  It's football!!!

There are some people that seriously advise that, because, while Rugby is f**king dangerous, it doesn't have anywhere near as many concussions as football.

Personally, I'd rather have my leg cut off than get CTE.

I miss the days when ESPN wasn't trying to push a political agenda and just focused on sports.

Only a handful of players out of however many thousands who've played in the NFL, collegiate, and high school levels have been impacted. In fact, studies show that among former football players, depression, memory loss, and suicide rates are equal to the general population. You have a far better chance of dying in a car accident than you do of getting CTE playing football. Please hand over the title and keys to your vehicle.
